01

What information should I send before requesting a quotation?

Please share the application, base film preference, thickness, width, roll length, expected order volume, destination country, and any barrier, printing, lamination, sealing, or document requirements.

02

Can Vmmet recommend a metallized film if I only know the final application?

Yes. Send the end use, layer structure, converting process, and target performance. We can help turn that application brief into a more practical product discussion.

03

How do I choose between metallized PET, BOPP, CPP, and PE film?

The choice depends on the role of the film in your finished structure. PET is often discussed for stability, BOPP for lightweight packaging and labels, CPP for heat-seal structures, and PE for flexible protective or insulation laminates.

04

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ depends on film type, width, thickness, treatment, and production planning. For a clear answer, send the specification and target quantity so we can confirm the practical order level.

05

Can I request samples before placing an order?

Sample discussion is available. The most useful sample request includes the application, target structure, width requirement, and the performance you need to test.

06

What thickness should I specify?

If you already use a film, send the current thickness or data sheet. If not, share the application and conversion method, and we will discuss a suitable thickness range.

07

What roll dimensions do you need for quotation?

Please provide roll width, roll length or roll weight, core size, winding direction if required, and any maximum roll diameter limit from your equipment.

08

Can Vmmet slit custom widths?

Custom width discussion is part of the quotation process. Width feasibility depends on the material, slit plan, tolerance, and production arrangement.

09

What is the normal production lead time?

Lead time depends on product type, order quantity, width, treatment, and current production schedule. We will confirm timing after the specification and order details are clear.

10

Are all metallized film grades in stock?

Some common materials may be easier to schedule, but many orders are made or slit according to project requirements. Please check availability with your target specification.

11

Which side of the film is metallized?

The metallized side and treatment side should be confirmed during specification. Tell us which side will be printed, laminated, coated, or sealed.

12

Do I need corona or chemical treatment?

Treatment depends on the next process. If the film will be printed, coated, laminated, or bonded, provide the process and adhesive or ink information for discussion.

13

Can you provide barrier performance information?

Barrier discussion should be linked to a specific product, structure, and test method. Tell us whether you need oxygen, moisture, aroma, or light barrier support.

14

Is metallized PET film suitable for food packaging?

Metallized PET can be discussed for food packaging laminate structures, but the final suitability depends on the full laminate, product contents, regulations, and customer testing requirements.

15

Can metallized film be used for high-temperature or retort packaging?

Please send the temperature, process time, laminate structure, and test expectation. High-temperature use requires a more specific technical discussion before selection.

16

What technical documents can be requested?

Depending on the product and project stage, buyers may request a product data sheet, roll specification, packing details, sample information, and order-related quality documents.

17

Can you support customer-specific document requirements?

Share the document list early. We can review whether the requested documents are available or whether they need to be aligned before production.

18

How are export rolls packed?

Packing is planned around roll size, shipment method, and customer requirements. Common discussion points include core, protective wrap, pallet, carton, labels, and moisture protection.

19

What core size can be used?

Core size should match the customer production line. Please specify the required core inner diameter or the current roll format you are using.

20

How can transit damage be reduced?

Confirm roll size, pallet method, container loading requirements, and handling notes before shipment. For sensitive rolls, packing details should be agreed before production.
