A layer in the duct wall

Metallized PET is used in multilayer flexible-duct constructions, where the film may be combined with other laminates, wire support, insulation, or an outer jacket.

Forming and lamination fit

Duct-level evaluation

FILM ROLE IN THE FINISHED STRUCTURE

Specify the film for the duct build, not in isolation.

Metallized PET is commonly used within flexible duct laminates because it can contribute a metallized surface while the completed duct obtains its form and final properties from the full multilayer construction. The film is not a substitute for the wire helix, reinforcing layers, jacket, or joining design.

The most useful request identifies the finished duct type, layer stack, processing route, width, and the markets where the duct will be installed. That allows the material conversation to stay aligned with the converter’s actual build and test procedure.
